The Evil Power Transformer came to the circuit and he took over, enslaving all the components and forcing them to do his bidding. He was a mean guy and he preferred fascism for the circuit.
He beat the components with his whip and made them work harder to form an efficient circuit that he could sell to Microsoft.
But every fascist movement has it's spanish anarchists, so to speak.
Soon after The Evil Power Transformer took over the circuit there was a rebellion at hand.
The rebellion was led by the resistors, who were used to resisting anyway.
